Who am I? My name is Wei Cao. I am a senior at York University in Toronto, and I will graduate in December 2005 with a BSc Honours in Computer Science, which is my second degree and my first degree is Bachelor of Engineering obtained in Beijing, China. What am I doing now? I was selected to participate in CRA Committee on the Status of Women in Computing research (CRA-W) Canadian Distributed Mentor Project (CDMP) this summer. This program matches undergraduate female student with female professor at same or other university for a summer of research and mentoring. The goal of CRA-W is to increasing the number of women participating in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) research and education at all levels. My mentor is Prof. Aijun An in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at York University. This site is created to track my progress and represent my research experiences in my summer project. It contains information of spam filtering using data mining techniques in which you may be interested. There is a journal to outline what I've been doing, so check back in often!
