Research Goals
  • Understand how ssh works
  • Develop a classification system to automatically identify it in a given traffic file using Machine Learning algorithms

Current Progress
Studying SSH applications, protocol structure and available implementations Got a really good idea
Data generation! tougher than I expected Done
Understanding machine learning algorithms and methods Got a really good idea
Examining different statistical data analysis methods Done
Write a report detailing results, future work and conclusions. (This report is a draft to my honours thesis, you could find my complete honors thesis on my main site at www.cs.dal.ca/~abouzied.) Done

As I read papers, I compile documents on some of the interestings things I find. This link will redirect you to it.
