Software tools are needed for the Internet to serve more effectively as a distributed software engineering environment. Software engineers need to be accountable for tasks and intermediate software development products. This research project will develop a web-based, multi-tiered application to submit, track, and administer weekly activity reports for students in a two-semester software engineering project capstone sequence. The research effort will add to the researchers' web-based software tool development experience and provide support for students working on software engineering group projects.
