This summer, I get the opportunity to do research in computer animation with Jessica Hodgins in the Computer Graphics Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon University. This is the first time I have ever gotten into the field of graphics, but I think that's part of the reason why the research project sounds challenging and exciting to me, for I am personally quite a believer of Ralph W. Emerson’s quotation: "Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow."
My research will be focused on given user input constrains, how to search the motion capture database, find the most closely matched motion, and then animate it in Maya. I will write weekly journals to keep track of my progress during the summer research. Enjoy and e-mail me recommandations about my project, my website, and anything.
