This summer Valerie and I are working on a project called JAWAA.
It is an algorithm Animation tool designed to help teach computer
science. It is currently coded in Java, and we will be working
to both fix the current version so all features are working, and
after we have finished fixing the basic version, we will begin to
come up, design, and implement new features for JAWAA.
Currently, since we have just started working, we have familiarized
ourself with JAWAA, and have begun to design a testset and test cases
for JAWAA so that we can find out what does and does not work. We have
primarily been working and motivating ourselves. Susan has told us to
get familiarized and then find what we feel we should be working on.
I have to admit, it is kinda hard to do this, and to motivate ourselves
sometimes. But I feel that we are finally figuring this whole thing out.
Right now, since she started before me and already has had a good amount of
experience with JAWAA and her website already up. She has been working on
creating all the many test cases. While I have just finished writing some
scripts to make the whole process easier. That and spending a good deal of
time learning html, css, php, and the like for my website. I am really excited
the website is turning out much better than I had originally thought it would.
and I have definatly learned alot about how to make a website too. Much easier,
that I had originally thought.
That is all the is going on for now, I will try and keep this page fairly well
up to date on what is going on around the office, and this is looking like it
will be a pretty awsome summer!!!
