Margaret Martonosi
Princeton University
Margaret Martonosi is currently Professor of
Electrical Engineering at Princeton University, where she
has been on the faculty since 1994. She is an affiliated
faculty member in the Computer Science department as well.
Her research interests are in computer architecture and the
hardware/software interface, with particular focus on
power-efficient systems and mobile computing. Current projects
include the Parapet group investigating power-aware
computer systems, and the ZebraNet group, which applies
mobile, ad hoc, sensing techniques to wildlife tracking in
Kenya.

Martonosi has been fortunate to have collaborated
with a number of great students and colleagues.
Through this, she has advised eight PhD
dissertations and numerous undergraduate research projects.
She is also co-author on over 90 refereed
publications and inventor on six granted US patents.
She has served terms as vice-chair of ACM SIGARCH and as a
member of the board of directors for ACM SIGMETRICS.
Martonosi completed her Ph.D. at Stanford University in 1993. She
also holds a Master's degree from Stanford and
a bachelor's degree (with distinction) from Cornell University,
all in Electrical Engineering.
