Sarah Poon: Web Designer
After graduating from UCLA with a bachelors degree in Business
Economics with a Computing specialization, Sarah spent several years
working as a web developer for various E-commerce sites. A year after
graduation, she began taking computer science classes part time at Cal
State Fullerton, eventually completing the core undergrad curriculum.
In 2004, Sarah began her masters work at UC Berkeley's School of
Information, where her interests included applied natural language
processing, information visualization, and human-computer interaction.
Upon completing her masters, Sarah began work for the Nearby Supernova
Factory at the Space Sciences Laboratory, where she co-developed
a data warehouse and workflow visualization system. Sarah now lives in
Southern California with her husband and two dogs.
