Computer Architecture Summer School Workshop

As a joint effort of the Computing Research Association's Committee on the Status of Women (CRA-W) and the Coalition to Diversify Computing (CDC), we are organizing a summer school workshop in Computer Architecture to be held at Princeton University on July 19-21. The workshop is particularly targeted at women and under-represented minorities currently in computer architecture graduate programs, but undergrads and faculty members are also welcome to apply. The two-day workshop will include a range of panel sessions and presentations by leading computer architects on topics such as:

  • How to get started in computer architecture research

  • What architects should know about compilers and system software

  • What architects should know about circuits and fabrication issues

  • Presentation and communication skills

  • Along the career path

  • The future of the computer architecture field


Via anticipated funding from NSF's Broadening Participation in Computing (BPC) program, we expect to provide support for travel and lodging expenses for accepted attendees.
