  PROJECT Introduction

Hey there! I'm Melanie, a student at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I am currently pursuing a combined honours degree in computer science and mathematics, and expect to graduate in September 2009. After graduation, I intend to continue with graduate studies at Dalhousie.

This summer I am working with Dr. Nur Zincir-Heywood, whose research focus is network security. We will be exploring various vulnerability databases, and using this information to help secure computer networks.

The purpose of this site is to introduce this research by providing details of the project as well as a weekly journal of our progress. We welcome the opportuninty to communicate with, inspire, or be inspired by others with similar reseach interests. That said, feel free to send questions, comments, or ideas to me at the following:
