The Department of Computer Science at Texas Christian University seeks candidates at the Assistant Professor level for a tenure-track position in Computer Science to start on or after August 1, 2012.  Applicants are expected to have an earned doctorate in Computer Science or related field, must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong commitment to teaching and research. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate computing courses in the Department’s programs in Computer Information Technology (CITE) and Computer Science (COSC); advising and mentoring majors; developing computing curricula in both programs; conducting research and engaged in scholarship in computing fields; serving on college and university committees; and serving the computing community of educators, researchers, and professionals. Preferred areas of specialization include: operating systems, mobile and cloud computing, and/or parallel architectures. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
