Applications are invited for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Computer Science beginning Fall 2010. Excellence in research, teaching and obtaining external funding is expected.

Highly qualified candidates from all areas of computing will be considered. Applicants from database, data mining, information retrieval, and information security areas are especially encouraged. This search is in addition to the ongoing search with emphasis in experimental and systems areas. 
 
The Department offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science and has research strengths in distributed systems, information retrieval, computer networking, intelligent information systems and algorithms.   The department has strong connections to Fermilab and Argonne National Laboratories, and to local industry.
