Business Manager
Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing overall programmatic support work, such as planning, research, analysis, correspondence control, communication, and/or liaison for special initiatives.
- Provides technical coordination and administration of grants and subcontracts.
- Works effectively with all parties to develop project requirements and proposals and provides technical evaluation of the submission of data and deliverables under these projects.
- Coordinates the development of project management plans and monitors all aspects of project execution assisting in the creation of work breakdown structure, flow charts, and other presentations of process flow and organizational structures.
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive database and metrics for various special initiatives/projects.
- Prepares presentations, program reports, special reports and planning documents.
- Assists in the preparation and planning necessary for the conduct of workshops and meetings of various topics.
- Provides business and financial analyses of resources.
- Performs specialized research for special projects.
- Works with staff to provide financial and operational support.
- Handles human resource requirements.
Key Qualifications
- Possession of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or four years related experience in lieu of degree.
- In addition to the education requirement must have a employment history of progressively responsible job-related experience.
- Must have demonstrated ability to manage, organize, interact and communicate (written and verbal) effectively.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and analytic skills; administrative abilities with strong attention to detail; and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to generate tables, graphic reports, and databases as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to provide oversight for detail-oriented tasks and projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency with appropriate software tools and the ability to learn new software and computing environments.
- Willingness to pitch in and help as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- Background in informatics. Knowledge of federal grants/contracts management.
